Manchester United, Manchester City and PSG are competing for the signing of Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, according to latest reports.
Catalan sports daily Sport claims that all three clubs have made offers for the player and are ready to pay more than €100 million for his services.
The report claims that the 27-year-old’s future at Nou Camp is far from certain as he is currently involved in contract negotiations with the club. Busquests is reportedly not happy with his current situation at Barcelona and feels that the club is not living up its promise of offering him a new and improved contract.
However, the club is still confident of tying him to a new deal.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are in the market for a midfielder to replace Yaya Toure, who is expected to leave the club in summer.
City’s future manager Pep Guardiola has previously managed Busquets and is a big fan of the player. The midfielder himself has previously claimed that he would like to play for the former Barcelona manager again.
“If anyone could make me leave Barca it’s my wife and Guardiola,” said the Spanish international to ESPN.
PSG eye him as a long-term replacement of Thiago Motta, but the player is expected to favour a move to Premier League if he decides to leave his boyhood club.
