Newcastle, Southampton and Stoke are reportedly lining up bids for Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost. The 26-year-old is said to be valued at £15 million by the Bundesliga side, according to Sport Bild and as reported by Goal.
Rumours have suggested that the 26-year-old is unhappy at the German club, and he suffered a broken foot during training in January, which has restricted his league appearances to just 16 and his league goals to seven this term.
Newcastle, with new coach Rafa Benitez, are in search for a star striker in order to secure a better season than the current one next year. However, it depends on the Magpies’ survival this season.
Southampton have endured a solid season, with Graziano Pelle scoring 11 goals and Shane Long ten. However, the Italian is rumoured to leave the Saints, meaning they could be obliged to replace him.
Stoke has seen Marko Arnautovic score 11 goals this season. As a consequence, the Austrian is courted by a number of clubs, meaning he could leave during the summer.
Dost has bagged an impressive 35 goals in 78 games since switching to the Bundesliga in 2012. He joined the Champions League quarter-finalists from Eredivisie club Heerenveen for £5.25 million, after also starring for Heracles Almelo.
