Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced that he will be leaving Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain after his deal expires in the summer.
The 34-year-old striker announced on his Twitter page on Friday that he will play his last game for the Paris club this weekend. Now, Ibrahimovic’s next destination is still not clear, but PSG have already started searching for his replacement.
According to French publication L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 giants have identified Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann as a possible summer arrival.
The 25-year-old has been in superb form for the La Liga club this season and is one of the most sought-after players in football at the moment. Various media outlets have reported that he is a summer target for clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, PSG boss Laurent Blanc wants to bring the France international to Parc des Princes. The Paris club is said to be contemplating a £56 million move for the player.
Griezmann, who has scored 31 goals for Atletico this season, reportedly has a £63 million release clause in his current contract.
