Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas was panned on Twitter for his dismal performance in Spain’s 1-0 win over the Czech Republic in Euro Cup today.
The Spaniard midfielder, who was deployed behind Alvaro Morata by coach Vincente Del Bosque, failed to influence the game during his time on the pitch.
Cesc Fabregas made way for Thiago Alcantara in the 70th minute of the game, and the La Roja broke the deadlock in the game through Gerard Pique’s header with three minutes left in the normal time.
The following Tweet perfectly depicts Fabregas’ performance in the game.
Cesc Fabregas' game by numbers vs. #CZE:
0 crosses completed
0 chances created
0 take-ons
0 shotsAll the ball, no end product.

Some other reactions from the fans:
What Chelsea have done to Fabregas is worse than what they did to Fernando Torres.

Fabregas in the top 5 for the best midfielders in the world no doubt. His performance against Czech was brilliant. Stats are misleading. ☺️

Look at Cesc's positioning when Spain are in possession. Calling for the ball without checking his surroundings pic.twitter.com/io0aT8d1bS

Cesc offers no tactical attribute that would see him in XI over likes of Thiago, Koke, Bruno. His place entirely result of VdB comfort zone.

Of Spain squad only 5 survive from 2008 winners – 4 starters in Iniesta, Cesc, Ramos & Silva and Iker on bench.

Less Cesc, more Koke/Thiago.. Del Bosque need to dare look at the future and let go of the past.

Spain looked coordinated & balanced. Lacked that spark though. Aduriz for Morata & a proper organizador (Thiago) for Cesc would be welcomed.

Cesc as an impact player would make more sense. When Spain are lacking that final ball. As an organizador? Barca already made that mistake.

Cesc goes off and Spain win the game makes you think
