Manchester United closing in on two huge signings

Manchester United are closing in on the signings of both Sweden superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mikhitaryan, according to a report by The Guardian.

Jose Mourinho is attempting to improve his squad after replacing Louis van Gaal and has already signed Eric Bailly from Villarreal. But now, the Red Devils are on the verge of signing two big names.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with a summer transfer all season long and decided against extending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, making himself a free agent during the transfer market.

The Sweden international wanted to wait until after Euro 2016 to make his next club public. With Sweden eliminated from the tournament on Wednesday after losing 1-0 to Belgium, it looks like Ibrahimovic will finally make his move.

According to the report, United are willing to pay Ibrahimovic £220,000 per week and that the 34-year-old striker will complete his move during the first week of July.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are prepared to offer £30 million for Mkhitaryan and are sure that a deal will be completed in the coming week.

Dortmund are reluctant to sell the 27-year-old, following the departures of Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich and Ilkay Gundongan to Manchester City. But Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, remained hopeful that an agreement can be struck with the Bundesliga club after his client signalled his desire to move to Old Trafford and told Dortmund he will not sign a new deal.
