Manchester United closing on record transfer swoop

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not planning to leave any stone unturned in his quest to form a title-winning squad at United.

The Red Devils have already secured signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and they are now planning to launch their most ambitious transfer swoop of the window.

According to a report by Daily Star, United are inching closer towards a record £80 million deal for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

The report claims that the 23-year-old is already in advanced negotiations with the Red Devils and could complete his move as soon as Euro 2016 concludes.

The France international was recently reported to be in talks with La Liga giants Real Madrid, but Daily Star understands that he favours a move to his former club.

Pogba is represented by Mino Raiola, who also represents United’s other acquisitions Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Raiola has played a key role in Mourinho’s rebuilding job at Old Trafford this transfer window.

His proposed move to United will make Pogba the most expensive player in the Premier League.
