With Antonio Conte about to take over the reigns at Chelsea, the Blues were primed to target and lure in a couple of Serie A stars. However, according to the latest reports, Italian giants Napoli are about to steal two Chelsea targets.
Antonio Candreva’s agent Federico Pastorello has confirmed that Lazio Roma and Napoli have an agreement, that the winger likes the destination and that they will request personal terms, according to Mediaset Premium (via Football-Italia).
The Partenopei are ready to pay £23.9 million, including bonuses, for the 29-year-old Italy international, who impressed at Euro 20166 this summer and was also a main target for Inter and Chelsea.
The Blues are now looking to miss out on Candreva, but the Italian winger is not the only one. Napoli’s official radio station (via Football-Italia) claims they have agreed terms with both Zenit St Petersburg and Axel Witsel, beating Chelsea and Everton to the Belgium international.
Witsel, who expressed his desire to leave Russia, has reportedly agreed on a four-year contract with wages of £2.7 million per year, while Napoli are ready to pay £17 million plus bonuses for the 27-year-old.
The Belgium international had seemingly opted for a move to the Premier League. However, a deal had still not gone through amid problems over agreeing personal terms.
