Cristiano Ronaldo acts like a 12-year-old, claims former Manchester United player

Former Manchester United player Mads Timm has had something fascinating to say regarding his former United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Timm joined United youth academy in 2000 as a 16-year-old and spent next six years of his career with the Red Devils.

His time with the club coincided with Ronaldo’s spell with the Red Devils, and he even got opportunities to play alongside the Portuguese.

The 31-year-old claims that Rolando was a very individualistic nature and had a huge ego. He added the Real Madrid star still gets annoyed when his teammates find the net instead of him.

“He’s completely indifferent to the collective side of the game. He was ‘me, me, me’,” Timm wrote.

“These days, after so much success, he can still get annoyed when one of his teammates scored instead of him. Mentally, he reminds me of when I was a 12-year-old.”

“I think he doesn’t care what people think of him and that’s one of the reasons why he has been able to survive in professional football.”

However, Timm also had some nice words to say about the current football superstar. The Danish footballer, who is currently a player-coach of Danish side Kerteminde Boldklub, said that Ronaldo was full-focussed and truly believed in his abilities during his time with United.

Timm also revealed that he was totally opposite of Ronaldo and hated the atmosphere of the Manchester club.

He added: “I hated the atmosphere in Manchester, but he was totally the opposite. He was focused and he had unwavering faith in himself and that was reflected out on the pitch.

“I remember a practice match in training when I was the left wing and he was on the right on the opposing team. Every time we crossed, he’d just fly past me. I was hardly ever out of breath after a training session… but that day, he left me gasping.”
