Newcastle United have completed the signing of Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace on a five year contract, with the Magpies winger Andros Townsend moving in the opposite direction in a different deal. After joining Palace from Peterborough for £6m in July 2013, Gayle scored 26 goals in 74 games for the South London club.
