Jarvis wants Wolves stay

Matt Jarvis, yesterday honoured with both the Wolves players and fans player of the season awards, has declared that he sees his future at the Midlands club. “It’s a club with a great future so why wouldn’t I want to stay here?” Jarvis told Sky Sports. “Of course I’m happy here – I’ve been enjoying my football. If it wasn’t for playing here then I wouldn’t have been able to do anything that I’ve achieved this season. It’s a fantastic club and hopefully we can stay up at the weekend.”

While Wolves season-long flirtation with the relegation zone has meant that this has been somewhat of a difficult season at Molineux, Jarvis has forged a reputation for himself as one of the brightest young wingers in the country – a reputation that was recently cemented as Fabio Capello handed him his first England cap in a friendly against Ghana. The former Gillingham man is now determined to help his side secure another season in the Premiership as he bids to reclaim his place from Adlene Guedioura.
