Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has admitted it has been one of his hardest seasons after playing less often that he would like. He has only scored four goals in the Premier league this season and has struggled to get a regular start since the arrival of van der Vaart.
Defoe told Sky Sports: “It is frustrating. At the end of the day I am ambitious. I want to play in every game and score goals, especially when you score goals for a fantastic club like Tottenham.”
Although the striker maintains that he would like to stay there is a feeling within the club that he may move on this summer. He has already been linked with Newcastle and Sunderland.
