Chelsea will be looking to bounce-back from their defeat to Manchester United last weekend, and keep the pressure on the Manchester clubs above them. To do so they must beat a Swansea side that struggled to get to grips with the Premier League, gaining their first win in five attempts last weekend at home to West Brom.
From the side that lost 3-1 to at Old Trafford, Daniel Sturridge is out with an ankle injury, while longterm injured Michael Essien, could, according to reports this week, be out as long as April next year with cruciate ligament damage. Alex is suspended, and Fernando Torres is set to continue up-front. Jon Obi-Mikel replaces out-of-form Frank Lampard, whilst Ivanovic gets the nod ahead of David Luiz in defence.
Swansea are set to welcome back star striker Danny Graham to the first-team squad, although it is touch-and-go if he will make the starting line-up.
Chelsea (confirmed): Cech; Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole; Ramires, Meireles, Mikel Obi; Anelka, Torres, Mata
Swansea: Vorm; Rangel, Williams, Monk, Taylor; Dyer, Gower, Britton, Allen, Sinclair; Lita
