The much anticipated north-London derby at White Hart Lane kicks-off with Tottenham favourites to win, for the first time in recent Premier League history, after the recent opposing fortunes of the two clubs.
Tottenham come into the game on the back of three consecutive victories in the league, with the only dropped points this season being in the opening fixtures against both of the Manchester sides. Chief among the players who have prompted recent wins is the former Gunner Emmanuel Adebayor, who has netted three in three appearances for his new side.
Arsenal have won just two league games this season, against newly promoted Swansea City, and bottom of the table Bolton, and include disappointing defeats against Manchester United, Liverpool and Blackburn. However they have won three in a row in all competitions after recent victories over Shrewsbury Town and Olympiakos.
Theo Walcott is set to make the starting line-up after missing out that Champions League clash in midweek, however Gervinho is set to miss out with a hamstring injury, joining Thomas Vermaelen, Jack Wilshere and Johan Djourou on the sidelines.
Tottenham are likely to start with Rafael van der Vaart alongside Adebayor in attack, with Jermain Defoe on the bench. Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone and William Gallas are out injured.
