Ferguson happy with narrow Swansea victory

Manchester United came away with three points from their trip to the Liberty Stadium as they defeated Swansea City 1-0, BBC Sport reports.

A goal from Mexican striker Javier Hernandez was enough for Manchester United to restore the five point gap behind Manchester City. Sloppy play from Swansea defender Angel Rangel allowed Ryan Giggs to seize the ball and cross for Hernandez, who scored on the 11th minute.

United were not on their best form and could have been pegged back had Scott Sinclair not got the ball stuck between his feet from six yards out, but managed to get all three points from the fixture. Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes his team were always favourites for a clean sheet and they are happy to win 1-0 every week. Ferguson said: ‘We didn’t really look as though we were going to lose a goal. In the past when we have won titles we have won four or five games 1-0’.
