Manchester City’s Swiss international target Xherdan Shaqiri will not be moving away from current club Basle in the January transfer window according to talkSPORT.
City are not Shaqiri’s only admirers, with the midfielder attracting interest from clubs across Europe with his technical ability and eye for goal. He is valued at £9million by Basle, but they are not willing to accept an offer of that region in January and will wait until July when bids are expecting to come in from many suitors.
With Basle top of the Swiss SuperLeague, and still in with a chance of progressing from the group stages of the Champions League or competing in the Europa League, it is not in the clubs interest to be selling their key players until the season is over.
