Walcott pleased with van Persie partnership

Theo Walcott has hailed the partnership and closeness he has with captain and striker Robin Van Persie at Arsenal, arsenal.com reports.

The England international was hailed earlier this month by the Dutchman, who said that most of his goals come from the ability of Walcott. Walcott himself provided the opening goal for Van Persie in Arsenal’s 2-1 win at Norwich this weekend and the on-field relationship between the two is stronger than ever. Walcott has insisted that the lack of injuries the two have suffered this year has helped them grow as a team and they can now prosper from their abilities.

The 22 year old said: ‘We just love playing together. Over the past few years, I have had my injuries and he has had his, so we have not been able to sustain a run of games together. This year, you can see signs that we just know where each other are going to be on the pitch.’
