Fabregas hints at future Arsenal return

Cesc Fabregas has stated that he is yet to rule out a return to Arsenal and will only leave Barcelona for the North London club, The Daily Mail reports.

The 24 year old left Arsenal this summer to join Barcelona. Fabregas arrived at Arsenal eight years ago from Barcelona and was an exceptional player for Arsene Wenger. Barcelona came calling to re-recruit Fabregas and the Spanish international moved back to his boyhood club. Fabregas said he would be happy to retire in a Barcelona shirt, but if he was moving again, the only place he would go would be back to the Emirates Stadium.

‘Apart from Arsenal and Barcelona, I don’t see myself playing anywhere else. I will definitely be going back (to Arsenal) whenever I have time to watch games and to see the guys and you never know in the future, why not? I hope I will stay here for a very long time and maybe even retire here, but why not? In life, you can never say never and if there is one place to go back to, it is Arsenal for sure’, the Barcelona midfielder said.

Fabregas has also admitted that he lost motivation during last season at Arsenal and believed that his teammates did not believe in his captaincy. The 24 year old also revealed that he left the Gunners on the verge of tears, but had to go to pursue his dream of playing for Barcelona.
