In-form Tottenham Hotspur, looking to keep themselves in the top four, entertain an out-of-form Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane.
Spurs have been fantastic so far this season and they came from behind to beat West Brom 3-1 at the Hawthorns last weekend. Boss Harry Redknapp rested nine first team players against Greek side PAOK Salonika in the Europa League midweek, but the gamble did not pay off as they lost 2-1. Those players should return along with Rafael van der Vaart, who missed the West Brom fixture with a hamstring injury. Redknapp is still without Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone and Niko Kranjcar for the Bolton fixture.
Owen Coyle’s men are in desperate need of some points and some luck. David Wheater’s red card against Everton last weekend contributed to a 1-0 defeat for Wanderers and saw many call for Coyle’s exit from the Reebok Stadium. Coyle will be desperate for some points and sees the return of Dedryck Boyata and David N’Gog to his side. One of his in-form players, midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker, may miss out with a hamstring problem.
Spurs are firing on all cylinders and should easily dispatch Bolton. Redknapp’s side have scored at least two goals in the last ten league games and with a relatively easy fixture list until the New Year, they can cement their top four position.
