Goals from Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie ensured United took all three points with little fuss against Hull City this afternoon, reports BBC
United took the lead in the 16th minute through Chris Smalling. The England defender needed goalline technology as his effort was a close one to call. Wayne Rooney doubled their lead minutes before the break, to continue his fine run of form for club and country.
In the second-half, Robin Van Persie got on the score sheet to wrap up an easy win for Louis Van Gaal’s side. Hull City find themselves languishing around the relegation zone, with only one victory since the opening day of the season.
Van Gaal labelled the win as one of his side’s best performances this campaign.
