After Burnley threw away a two-goal lead against Tottenham in the FA Cup third round to eventually lose 4-2, manager Sean Dyche was critical of costly errors made that led to the defeat, reports BBC
The Clarets raced two a 2-0 lead inside of 10 minutes, but found themselves level by half-time, before conceding two further goals quickly after the break to eventually lose 4-2. Such defensive errors and a total team collapse won’t give the supporters too much confidence going into their next league game, and Dyche wasn’t happy either.
“We came here to win but it was a game of mistakes from us. Tonight we made too many. There were a number of things that didn’t go our way but we can’t defend like that at key moments. Eventually if you keep making poor decisions, you get hurt,” he said.
