The 22-year-old is in the last six months of his contract, and his form for the newly-promoted Clarets have led to speculation on his future. Liverpool were one club heavily linked a number of months ago, and with the England U21 international having not signed a new deal at Turf Moor, his future appears to be elsewhere.
But Ings was clear in his words that he wanted to keep Sean Dyche’s side up before considering his future, which has led Liverpool to offer to loan him back to Burnley after the deal has been completed. It’s thought Dyche will accept the offer, as he can cash in on the striker, as well as having him for the relegation battle.
