Newcastle 3-3 Burnley: Clarets come from behind three times to earn precious point against managerless Magpies

Newcastle spurned a lead on three occasions at home to Burnley, which eventually led to them taking a share of the spoils in an enthralling encounter at St James’ Park, reports BBC Sport.

Steve Taylor put the home side ahead 15 minutes into the game. But their joy was short-lived as a Paul Dummett own goal levelled proceedings just minutes later.

Newcastle midfielder Jack Colback restored the Magpies’ lead before the half hour mark, and held their advantage going into the break.

In the second-half, it took Burnley until the 66th minute to find an equaliser. Danny Ings continued his decent run of form in front of goal to set up a rousing finale.

United scored a third goal through Moussa Sissoko, but once again had little time to celebrate with George Boyd levelling the game minutes later to ensure Burnley took a point.
