Arsenal have completed the signing of teenage midfielder Vlad Dragomir from Romanian club ACS Poli Timisoara, according to the Metro.
The 16-year-old is the captain of his country’s under-16 side and is being tipped for a big future in the game, prompting Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to finally pounce for his signature after apparently watching him for a year-and-a-half.
And Wenger will pay the Romanian side £100,000 for the privilege of bringing him on board, which is small change considering how highly he’s been rated so far.
Italian giants Inter Milan were also interested, but have now missed out thanks to the quick actions of the manager.

Though he has yet to make a first team appearance for the senior side, Dragomir is billed as a dynamic, creative midfield player, who can score, create and win the ball back when he tracks back to help out his defence.
His agent confirmed the deal by saying: “I proposed to Arsenal a year ago and a half, during which they monitored closely.
“In my opinion, Vlad is one of the most talented players in Europe at the moment.”
