Arsenal have been given the green light to make the move to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech after the Blues agreed to let him make the move across London, according to the Metro.
Chelsea Transfer Gossip
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping an eye on Cech’s situation at Stamford Bridge, having lost confidence in his two current keepers, David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny, who have looked flappable when they’ve been in the side.
Cech, who had lost his place this term to Thibaut Courtois after a decade of being the Blues’ undisputed first choice, was said to be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, but the deal was dependant on whether Jose Mourinho was willing to allow him to join a rival club.
But reports in The Telegraph are now claiming that the 33-year-old will be allowed to make the jump at some point during the transfer window.
It had been thought that Cech would be moved on overseas, but this latest twist means that Wenger could have his man for around £10m.
