Blues boss Jose Mourinho is said to be on the verge of completing a season-long loan deal for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, and will follow that up by making a move for the young Arsenal midfielder.

It has been reported that Chelsea are weighing up the deal for the 20-year-old and aren’t intending to discuss Petr Cech’s move in the opposite direction as a part of it.

Chamberlain endured a frustrating campaign last season, having suffered with a number of minor niggling injuries, but still managed to make 42 appearances across all competitions before ending it with the successful defence of their FA Cup title.

Arsene Wenger is still hopeful of wrapping up a deal for Cech, though he faces some stiff competition from French giants PSG, and his cause is not helped by the fact that Jose Mourinho would rather sell him to an overseas club if he can.
