Manchester City have increased their offer to sign Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling to £35m plus another £5m in add ons, according to the Daily
Liverpool are yet to respond to the offer, though it is widely believed that it will be rejected, but there is still a lingering sense that it won’t be long before Sterling makes a swift exit from Anfield.
City’s initial offer of £25m up front plus £5m in add ons was rejected by the Reds last week, as they are still thought to be waiting out on a deal worth around £50m for the England international.
However, City aren’t thought to be willing to go that high, and are only prepared to meet his £100,00-per-week wages as well.
Brendan Rodgers has already stated that the 20-year-old won’t be going anywhere this summer, and the Reds aren’t prepared to compromise on the number they have in mind for his services.
