Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has confirmed that he wishes to stay at the King Power Stadium, despite being heavily linked with Arsenal recently.

The Daily Express report that the Denmark international has been touted as a possible summer target for Arsene Wenger, despite signing a new four-year deal last year.
In response to the suggestion that he may be looking to leave the club, Schmeichel revealed that he is happy and not considering a move.
“A club transfer isn’t in my thinking. I am in a club where there are good coaches and owners, and it’s great,” he insisted.
The 28-year-old has been a key man for the Foxes this year, and played a pivotal role in Nigel Pearson’s men staying in the Premier League for another year, having looked destined to drop back into the Championship just a few weeks to go.
His shot-saving ability, as well as the command he has over his defence has drawn the inevitable comparisons with his father Peter. Those qualities have arguably been lacking from the games of Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina at times this season, so it would be little surprise if Wenger decided to go after the Leicester stopper.
However, he has yet to prove himself at one of the very top clubs in the country so would need to hit the ground running if he wanted to prove that he could be the keeper that could help the Gunners win the title.
