8) Chelsea (58%)
Chelsea may have romped to their fourth Premier League title this season, but they also struggled to make much of an impression in the Champions League, as they fell at the first knockout phase. They added some of Europe’s most recognisable footballers this year – players like Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa – and watched Eden Hazard run away with plenty of individual accolades.
7) Manchester United (63%)
The Louis van Gaal revolution at Old Trafford has – as mentioned – seen Manchester United become the first football club who can boast a brand worth over $1bn. Though he struggled early on in the year to make up for the struggles that David Moyes endured previously, things appeared to click into place in the second half of the campaign, and saw the Red Devils reclaim a spot in the top four, and a place in next season’s Champions League.
