Chilean international midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after they agreed a €37m (£25.9m) with Juventus, that will rise further with an extra £2.1m in add ons, The
The Guardian report states that Vidal will sign a four-year agreement with Bayern worth £90,000-per-week. He will now travel to Munich to complete his medical and the deal could be officially announced before the weekend.
Bayern are known to be looking for a long term replacement for the ageing Franck Ribery, and Vidal seems to be the perfect candidate, having played a key role in helping Juve to claim four successive Serie A titles during his four-and-a-half years at the club. He was also vital in their run to the Champions League last term, too.
Should the deal go through, it will be Vidal’s second stint in the German top flight, having already spent time with Bayer Leverkusen between 2007-2011.
And despite losing stalwart midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, Bayern appear to be entering a rebuilding phase, and have already splashed £21.3m on Shakhtar Donetsk forward Douglas Costa (via The Guardian).
