Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas says he still loves Arsenal and always will

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has told Arsenal fans that their booing and jeering doesn’t bother him because he will always love the club as he prepares to encounter them again this weekend in the Community Shield, the Daily Star reports.

Fabregas endured somewhat of a mixed response in April, when he returned to The Emirates Stadium for the first time since first leaving for Barcelona back in 2011. Many had hoped he would return to the club last summer, but he ended up joining Chelsea instead.

The 28-year-old knows he can expect more of the same from the Gunners faithful this weekend, but he is refusing to let it bother him as he believes that no amount of abuse can erase the eight cherished years he spent at the club.

“Whatever it is, it is,” he said.

“The love I have for that club will never change whatever happens and what is most important are the memories I have with me from them.

“The rest doesn’t matter. I have great memories, love and respect for the club. You will never hear anything bad from me about them.”

Fabregas made his debut for Arsenal in the League Cup back in 2003/04, and quickly went on to establish himself as a key component of the side, making 303 appearances for the side across all competitions, bagging 57 goals in the process.
