Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao is interested in moving to Liverpool this summer, after growing frustrated with his lack of opportunities with the Italian giants.

The Spanish-born forward was mostly utilised as a substitute as his side stormed to a third place in the Serie A table, despite scoring four goals in his ten starts in all competitions.
Diao, 20, is one of the highest rated young players on the planet and has also been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid (via reports in Italy). However, his agent – Ulisse Savini – mentioned the Reds specifically when he discussed his client’s future earlier this week.
“I personally spoke to Lazio and they said his sale is not predicted,” he said. “It’s only natural that he isn’t satisfied with the situation, so we are evaluating other options.
“Liverpool have a manager who relishes attacking players like Keita. It is a destination we would like, but we have to verify a series of situations. So far I have not had any direct contact with Liverpool.”
The player famously scored 47 goals in a single season for the youth side of Spanish club Cornella, after being sent out on loan for Barcelona for playing a prank during a team bonding trip, which involved hiding an ice cube in a teammate’s bed!
Diao seems to have matured over the last couple of years and no doubt he’d be warmly welcomed at Anfield.
