Liverpool are said to have opened talks with Brazilian club Internacional over a £500,000 move for young midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza, according to the Metro.
The 18-year-old has been earning a wave of admirers in his homeland as well as from Merseyside, and the Reds may also find competition for his signature from Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna.
It is believed that Brendan Rodgers was alerted to the 18-year-old’s abilities at the Frenz International Cup in Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur earlier this year.
Brendan Rodgers has already made some significant additions to his squad this summer, bringing in seven new faces including Roberto Firmino, James Milner and Danny Ings.
But Rodgers is still keen on adding younger faces to his side as he refuses to completely abandon his policy of bringing up talent for the future.
