Liverpool are said to have taken an interest in bringing Bayern Munich forward Mario Gotze to the club this summer, according to the Metro.

And now, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph, Liverpool could be ready to splash a portion of that cash on Gotze after they were alerted to his possible availability.
The Telegraph claim that Gotze wants out at Bayern following a number of clashes with the club’s senior management, and The Reds are just one of a number of European clubs plotting a move for his services.
The Metro has him valued at £49.6m, which would eat up the entirety of the fee they received for Sterling. However, with Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke due to undergo a medical with the club this week with view of completing a £32.5m move (via Daily Mail), Liverpool may have to dig into their pockets a little deeper.
