And while there may have been concerns that his first call-up to the national side may have scuppered a move – had Martial decided to ignore the interest from Louis van Gaal’s side to concentrate on impressing the national team coach – it appears that Deschamps is more than happy to let the forward complete the Premier League switch.
And while the former Chelsea midfielder is happy to let Martial complete his move, his desire to get him back in the squad as soon as possible should give United fans the confidence that a deal should be completed in the very near future.
