In the news that most Arsenal fans did not want to hear – but probably expected – Karim Benzema has seemingly confirmed that he will not be moving to the Premier League this summer with a defiant tweet.
In a clear statement to those who had claimed that the Frenchman’s move to the Emirates was going to happen, Benzema was pictured in the Real Madrid dressing room and referred to Los Blancos as his home.

The 27-year-old has been linked with the Gunners all summer (via Daily Telegraph), and supporters of the north London outfit were hoping that their prayers would be answered in the final days of the window by Arsene Wenger opening the chequebook for only the second time following the acquisition of Petr Cech.
While Olivier Giroud’s and Theo Walcott’s talent is unquestionable, there is a feeling around the Emirates that without a marquee name leading the line, Arsenal are not going to end their wait for the title.
Sadly, that marquee name will almost certainly not be Karim Benzema.
