David de Gea “can’t stand” living in Manchester and is “anxious” to join Real Madrid

A report in Spanish tabloid El Chiringuito de Jugones has added their two cents into the David de Gea saga by claiming that the Manchester United goalkeeper cannot stand living in the city and is desperate to link up with Real Madrid.

Journalist Pipi Estrada claims that the 24-year-old is constantly on the phone to his agent, Jorge Mendes, trying to find out the progress of his protracted exit from the club during the current transfer window.

Estrada also states that de Gea can’t stand living in the Northwest and is anxious to discover what his immediate future has in store for him.

However, reports elsewhere this week have suggested that the Spanish international could yet remain at Old Trafford, having been included in the side’s Champions League squad to face Club Brugge last in the month.

If he features in that game he will be ineligible for any further involvement in the tournament should he actually make his return to Madrid.
