David de Gea ‘increasingly confident’ of leaving Man United for Real Madrid

David de Gea’s representatives are said to be increasingly confident of sealing his exit from Manchester United to seal a move to Real Madrid before the summer transfer window draws to a close in the next few days, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Spanish international has been exiled from Louis van Gaal’s first team plans so far this season amid fears that he is not in the right frame of mind to play.

Real have so far refused to meet United’s £35m valuation of the player, but his team, lead by agent Jorge Mendes, are said to be confident of sealing the move before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Sources close to the player even believe the deal could be done as early as Monday, with the apparently willing to accept a fee just shy of £30m.

United feel that the saga has dragged on for long enough and has become too much of a distraction.
