Edinson Cavani is desperate to complete a stunning move from Paris Saint-Germain to Arsenal in the coming days, according to the Metro.
The Uruguayan is one of the most ruthless finishers in Europe currently, and has been somewhat wasted over the last few years, playing largely in a wider position in the much less competitive Ligue 1.
And while Olivier Giroud provided an indication of what he is capable of with a sensational goal against Crystal Palace last weekend, you would imagine that their chances of lifting the title will be hugely enhanced if they bring the former Napoli man in.
Like the Frenchman, he complements the players working around him as his game is based on power, rather than the pace and flair that is visible in abundance in the men working just behind the striker. However, his strike rate throughout his career would suggest that, as good as Giroud has been, Cavani would need fewer chances to find the back of the net.
