New update in Antoine Griezmann’s £57m move to Man United revealed

Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann is not likely to join Manchester United this summer, according to a report in the Daily Express.

The France international had emerged as manager Louis van Gaal’s top target following the shock deal that took Barcelona winger Pedro to Chelsea last week.

And despite claims in the Daily Mail suggesting a move was in the offing after finding out they could sign him for £57m, there appears to be no way that the Spaniards would be up for selling him now.

At least that’s according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, who doesn’t believe Atletico will want to lose their star man at this late stage in the summer.

“Neither Atletico Madrid nor Griezmann expect any offer arriving in the next few days and Atletico have no intention whatsoever to let him go,” he said.

In an attempt to ward off any potential suitors, Atletico recently upped Griezmann’s buyout clause from £43m to £56m.

However, another good season like last year, in which he bagged 22 goals in 37 La Liga games could see Atleti struggle to keep hold of him for much longer.
