While a fee has not been made public just yet, the Daily Express suggest that the 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract at the Boleyn Ground.
The former Arsenal man spent last season on loan with the Hammers, and it appears that Slaven Bilic was keen to bring him back to the club.
Although 16-year-old Reece Oxford played superbly against Arsenal during the opening weekend of the season, and helped Bilic’s men to a stunning 2-0 win, his inexperience was brutally highlighted during the defeat to Leicester City at the weekend.
The Upton Park outfit have been linked with a surprising move for former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton, but the Express report that that move fell through following a wave of negative reaction from supporters.
Given how Song often played last year, it seems highly likely that his arrival will be met in a much more positive light.
