Jose Mourinho has incredibly admitted that the Blues are thinking about the possibility of relegation, according to the Metro.

Yesterday’s defeat to Everton leaves the champions with just four points after their opening five games, and while Mourinho appears to suggest that relegation should not happen, it will be a worry to Chelsea fans that it has crossed his mind.

“We cannot be scared of relegation,” he said.

“Borussia Dortmund were in the relegation zone last season,” he added.

However, it appears that should Chelsea’s struggles continue, the bookmakers are not giving the Special One much chance of seeing out the season, the Daily Express report.

William Hill are offering 7/2 on Mourinho to be gone by the turn of the year, and 5/2 on the Portuguese to leave before the end of the campaign.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has revealed in his autobiography that he would have liked Mourinho to become manager at Anfield as he felt it would have been a perfect combination, the Daily Star report.

“For me, the ideal situation would obviously have been for Mourinho to have managed Liverpool. He was linked with a move to Anfield a couple of times but it never materialised. I know I’m biased, but I think it would have been a perfect match,” he explained.
