England manager Roy Hodgson has decided to hand the captaincy of the Three Lions to Liverpool midfielder James Milner for the upcoming friendly against Netherlands.
This move comes just after 24 hours of Milner stating that he could quit his England career if he doesn’t feature in Hodgson’s plans anymore.
He said: “I don’t want to be travelling round and not really contributing and just being a good tourist. I want to contribute and if the manager sees I have a part to play, great.
“If not, it would be better for me to step aside and let the younger guys travel around.”
It’s obviously a fabulous news for the veteran midfielder, but fans are clearly not happy with the decision.
