Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has ended all speculation regarding his future by committing his future to the North London club, according to BBC.
On Friday, the Argentine manager announced that he has verbally agreed to a new five-year deal with the club.
Pochettino joined the Spurs in 2014 and has been a huge success during his time with the club. He led them to a fifth-place league finish and the Capital One Cup final in his debut year at White Heart Lane.
This year, the North London club are on course to accomplish their best league finish in the Premier League era. His achievements with Tottenham this season has led to the rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
His recent announcement will definitely put an end to all the speculation about his future. “It was an easy decision when you feel the love of the people and the potential of the club is massive, so why change?” he said.
“We create a good atmosphere on the training ground and I think we can achieve big things in the future. I believe in this project and this club. I want to stay here.
“We have not signed yet but we have reached the verbal agreement to stay here for the next five years. When will we sign? Maybe tomorrow [Saturday] or on Tuesday, it depends on my lawyer.
“It is a good moment to tell you, for all to know that my future is here. I am very happy. It is for many reasons I stay.”
