Serie A stars hand boosts to Liverpool and Manchester United, ruin Chelsea’s transfer dreams

According to a report by The Daily Mirror, Gonzalo Higuain wants to leave Napoli in the summer to join Liverpool.

The Argentine striker netted 71 goals in 104 Serie A appearances since joining the Partenopei in 2013 from Real Madrid for £28.5 million, including a record 36 goals in 35 appearances this season, and has two years left on his contract at the club.

Higuain is reportedly very attracted by the chance of working with Jurgen Klopp and is willing to reject approaches by Manchester United, Chelsea, and PSG in order to come to Anfield.

The Reds are planning to make an offer in the region of £ 32.5 million, which is, however, less than half of the 28-year-old’s £ 71.6 million release clause.

Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered another blow to their transfer blows as La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira reports that AS Roma’s Radja Nainggolan would like to move to Manchester United.

The Belgium international has reportedly turned down an offer from the Blues as he prefers to join the Red Devils in the summer. Schita adds that despite Nainggolan’s reluctance to leave cash-strapped Roma, he would consider joining Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford. Roma reportedly want £35 million for the midfielder.
