Arsenal tracking Euro 2016 star, facing Italian competition for star player and Ligue 1 targets

On Tuesday, the whole football world got to know Ivan Perisic. The Croatia international provided an assist and a stunning late goal against Spain, as Croatia beat the reigning European champions 2-1.

The 27-year-old winger joined Serie A giants Inter for £12 million last summer from Bundesliga club Wolfsburg, after first impressing with Borussia Dortmund and Club Bruges. He provided seven goals and five assists in 34 league appearances during his first season in Italy.

Arsenal have been said to have a long-term interest in Perisic and are actively tracking him at Euro 2016, according to reports in Italy (via talkSPORT). The Gunners have also been linked with Riyad Mahrez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan but it seems Perisic could be an easier player to land.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are in danger of losing out on two Ligue 1 targets. Juventus are ready to go all out for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi after losing Alvaro Morata to Real Madrid.

According to various reports in Italy and Belgian source Het Nieuwsblad, the Old Lady has already seen a bid of £23 million rejected by l’OM. However, with Real paying £23 million to get Morata back and Juve having a couple of players to add to a potential deal, Arsenal will have to move quickly to avoid losing out on one of their biggest summer transfer targets.

Juventus are also looking at Gunners star Alexis Sanchez as a possible replacement for Morata, according to Sky Italia (via Football-Italia), as Edinson Cavani and Romelu Lukaku are too expensive.

The Chilean international has been linked with the Serie A champions many times over the years and is believed to have a price-tag of around £42 million.

In addition, Napoli have made a third and final offer to Lyon for midfielder Corentin Tolisso. According to l’Equipe (via Get French Football), the Italian number two saw two earlier bids rejected and are now hoping a bid of £17.7m will be enough to land the 21-year-old, who’s been on Arsenal’s radar since he broke into the first team during the 2013/2014 season.
