Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has played down talk of his side being favourites to win this season’s Premier League title, The
City were made the bookies’ favourites after they hammered local rivals and reigning champions Manchester United 6-1 on Sunday, but Mancini is not getting carried away.
“I think there are four or five teams that can win the title in the end,” he said. “The season is too long, it is very difficult every game, every three days we play.
“Against Tottenham we played very well, and against Bolton, but this is different – we played against a strong team like United.
“But in the end there are three points – finished. We don’t take six points for this game,” concluded the Italian.
