Villas-Boas slams David Luiz ‘playstation’ comments by Neville

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has hit back at Gary Neville’s claims that defender David Luiz looked like he was being controlled by a ten year old on a Playstation, The Times reports.

Neville, currently working for Sky Sports as a pundit and co-commentator, made the remark in Liverpool’s 2-1 win against Chelsea at the weekend. Luiz has had his criticisms for his erratic defending and with Chelsea conceding 11 goals at home so far this season, the Brazilian defender has bore the brunt of most of the sceptics. Blues boss Villas-Boas was quick to defend Luiz and stated that despite the qualities Neville had whilst a defender at Manchester United, he made a remark that was stupid.

Villas-Boas said: ‘Gary Neville was a fantastic defender, but it is a stupid approach to an opinion. If that’s the way he wants to take the game, that is ridiculous’.
