DM- Francis Coquelin 7.50
Although he had played in several games after being recalled from his loan spell at Charlton, Arsenal’s light bulb moment of the season came when he completely bossed the midfield during their surprise victory over Manchester City in January. He has provided a steel in their star-studded midfield, and seemingly put doubts into Arsene Wenger’s mind about whether he actually needs to sign reported target Morgan Schneiderlin (via Daily Mail).
DM- Santi Cazorla 7.57
The little Spaniard is one of the Premier League’s most technically gifted players, and he has adapted wonderfully well to being utilised slightly deeper. Alongside Francis Coquelin, he is able to showcase his delightful range of passing, but is also able to retain possession himself and go on one of his meandering runs that often leave opponents clueless. The partnership between himself and Coquelin ticks a lot of the boxes, so may prove crucial if the Gunners hope to win the league crown next year.
AM- Mesut Ozil 7.57
The German has really hit back at his critics this year, having put in several stunning performances during the campaign. He has scored four times – including a great free-kick in the thrashing of Liverpool at the Emirates – and made five goals for his teammates. While those totals are not as high as he would probably like, there is no doubt that he has the quality to elevate the club from top four contenders into title favourites.
