Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is still hoping to bring former striker Diego Costa back to the Vicente Calerdon, despite the Chelsea star hitting back at claims that he is unhappy with life in London.

According to The Sun, the 26-year-old had reportedly told close friends that he was struggling since his summer move to England, but he rejected those suggestions and revealed that he is looking forward to his future with the Blues.
“I have no reason to leave. I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay,” he said.
“It’s always difficult for adaptation in the first season but it’s really good to come in and win things. Next year I’ll be ready to come back and hopefully win more,” Costa explained.
Nevertheless, Simeone will still attempt to bring the Spanish international back to the club where he largely made his name. Although he endured a difficult first spell – which saw him sold without making an appearance – he returned in 2010.
And while his goalscoring record was still not spectacular during the first few years of his second spell, he smashed 35 goals in all competitions in his final season. Those goals helped Madrid stun everyone by winning La Liga, and came within minutes of winning the Champions League.
And The Sun with suggesting that his current side are interested in man that has taken the mantle, Antoine Griezmann, there may be a slight chance that a huge swap deal could be engineered.
