Chelsea are set to complete their surprise season-long loan swoop for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao in the next couple of days, according to the Metro.
The Blues are said to have finalised an agreement to bring the Colombian international back to the Premier League for another crack at glory following his disappointing campaign with Manchester United last term.
Both the player himself and manager Jose Mourinho have dropped hints about the move on South American TV stations in recent weeks, but new reports are now claiming that the deal is just days away from being officially announced.
The Blues will apparently foot the entirety of his £265,000-per-week wages, as he will compete with Loic Remy and Bertrand Traore to deputise for last season’s top scorer Diego Costa.
However, Remy is still being tipped to move on at some point this summer, so Falcao may find himself with slightly more game time than he did at Old Trafford.
